We are thrilled to introduce the state-of-the-art Equine Aqua Treadmill at Sleighduff Equestrian. This is the latest stage of enhancing our facilities to support horse training and rehabilitation.
The Aqua Treadmill allows for safe, supervised, and controlled workouts. Whether your horse needs muscle and core strength rebuilding after injury or enhanced fitness for any discipline, our treadmill offers flexible training options tailored to your horse's specific needs. These plans can be created in collaboration with your vet or physio.
The treadmill’s adjustable incline offers a range of workout options, including fresh, saltwater, and dry sessions, with consistent water quality ensured by an advanced filtration system and nightly self-cleaning.
Wicklow Aqua Equine prioritises biosecurity, regularly disinfecting the facility to ensure a clean environment.
Treadmill or Spa Livery:
This package varies depending on what program your horse is on. Each package is unique and customisable to your horse with 7 dry treadmill sessions per week or 3 dry and 4 spa sessions, the choice is yours.
We will guide you to make the best program for your horse. Prices from Euro200 per week.
Treadmill Session
Up to 30 mins on the water treadmill with varying water levels and incline depending on the fitness of the horse and how many sessions you have done. The initial session may take up to 1hr which involves prepping the horse and ensuring it is happy and settled on the treadmill.
Spa Session
This involves the cold water (3 - 5 degrees) which also has jets to aid oxygenation in the water. Sessions last 30 minutes, more time may be required for the first session to ensure your horse is happy and settled in the spa. This service is brilliant for any injuries or just as a preventative measure.
